ImageTigers For Tomorrow is a exotic animal park and rescue preserve. We are home to over 105 animals. We are a last stop preserve, and the animals that come to live with us remain here for the rest of their lives.

Can we visit the Preserve?

ImageYes! The preserve is open to the public (please see hours below). Our last admission is at 4:00pm. Visitors entering at 4:00pm are welcome to stay until 5:00pm.

There are a few ways to visit. First, you can do a walk about. This is a general walk around at your lesiure. When you first get to the preserve you will be greeted by Zack and Tootles, our young Camel and Zebra. Next stop is the Childrens Barnyard Contact Area. This is the only area visitors will be able to interact with the animals. The Barnyard is home to Goats, LLamas, Sheep, Emus and some assorted other animals. A short distance away is the Carnivore Compound where you will be greeted by our volunteers, and if you are lucky, by the howling of Bear and Lakota, our Timber Wolves. The carnivore compound is currently 10 arces and houses over 35 big cats, yes, tigers, lions, cougars, leopards and more.

There is no need for a reservation to do a walk about. Admission is $10.00 for adults 12 and over, $5.00 for children ages 3-11, and children under 3 are free.

If you want a picture of a particular animal you can become a guardian angel or purchase a picture.

How to prepare for your trip to the preserve?

ImagePlease wear closed-toe shoes, sneakers, or hiking boots (not sandals or flip flops). There will be lots of walking and most of our terrain is hilly. Bring sunscreen and water. Although there are a few shaded areas you will be out in the sun a lot of the time.  There is no smoking in the preserve. The cats are up and about throughout the day but they do nap alot when it gets hot. Come visit early on a hot day. During the hot summer months the animals do nap during the day and refunds are not given if the animals are sleeping. There is a pavilion for guest to picnic at. Please recycle.

Could you tell us about educational school field trips?

ImageTigers for Tomorrow invites your students to experience a little bit of the wild. Tigers for Tomorrow at Untamed Mountain is an exotic animal rescue sanctuary, home to over 40 large carnivores, including tigers, leopards, cougars, wolves and more. An animal contact barnyard full of farm animals and small exotic mammals is also featured. During your class visit, we cover grade-specific learning objectives in life science and agriscience, and provide follow-up materials for your teachers. Our environmental center will provide your group with trails through the habitat areas in our preserve, a picnic pavilion, clean restrooms, and professional staff. Tigers for Tomorrow is licensed by the USDA and Alabama State Wildlife agencies, and has a 5-year history of successful education programs with school and community groups. These grade-specific tours are available year-round, with morning and afternoon appointments on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The tour lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours. Tigers for Tomorrow can accommodate 160 students per appointment. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking; inclement weather reservations will be rescheduled. Admission is $5 per student, $10 per adult, with one teacher free. Tigers for Tomorrow is now booking through December 2008 and taking reservations for home school groups and school field trips.

What do I need to make a reservation for?

Looking for an educational experience? Try our private tours. Private tours are for a group of 4 or more, ( only 2 in your group? We may be able to fit you in with another small group). Private tours take between 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours. Your guide will educate you on the animals which you will meet, why they are here, where they have come from, and their behaviors as well as their status in the wild. The donation requested for a private tour is $25.00 per person, and a reservation is required.

Reservations are also required for School Field Trips, Home School groups and any other groups of 15 or more that would like a tour guide. The admision price for School Field Trips and other non profit groups are $5.00 for children and $10.00 for adults - one teacher is admitted free.

The best way to set up a tour or field trip is to call our office and leave a message if noone answers. We will get back to you as soon as we come in from working with the animals.

Can we pet the big cats?

Sorry but No. The big cats are not for petting. The big cats live in their own enclosure and there is a public safety fence around each enclosure. Visitors are at least 4 feet from any enclosure.

Do you take the big cats off property for events or partys?

Sorry but No. The big cats are happy and secure in their homes. We do not exhibit them at events. The property is available for private parties, corporate outings, birthday parties and other events. There is a great caterer close by and tents can be erected for larger events.
