Hours of Operation We are closed on Monday and Tuesday, calls and emails will be returned on Wednesday. Currently we are only open to the public -no reservation necessary on Wednesday and Thursdasy- 9am - 1pm -park closes at 2pm Friday, Saturdays and Sundays-We are open every 9:00 am - 4:00 pm to the public for a walk about. No reservations are required, and admission is $10.00 for adults ages 12 and up) $5.00 for children ages 3 to 11.( we do have to charge sales tax) Private tours are available by appointment. - Please note during the hot summer months the best time to visit is early in the morning, the animals do nap during the day, refunds are not given if the animals are sleeping.

PLease Note- VERY IMPORTANT- coming on I-59 Northbound -EXIT 188 is CLOSEDfor the next year for road repairs. You can either get off at exit 181 and take 77 north to US11 NORTH and go thru 2 blinking lights and at the3rd red blinking light you will see out county attraction signs which will lead you to our gate or you can proceed on I-59 to exit 205, Collinsville, this will be a one lane highway for 22 miles. If you do go to exit 205 please use the directions below. Go to Blinking light and look straight ahead, you will see brown county signs that will direct you right to our front door. From the blinking light you are 12 miles from the preserve, you may want to give yourself time to stop at Wills Creek Vineyard and try some UNTAMED MOUNTAIN WINE, it's a great place, the owner Jahn and Janie are very friendly and helpful, and it's on the way. Note: Try Nessa's in Collinsville for lunch, just 8 miles up the road and it is tasty! From Interstate I-59 going southbound from Ft. Payne, AlabamaGet on I-59 South. At exit 205 Collinsville go west 1/10 of a mile, make a left onto 51 South (2.3 miles), turn left this will still be 51 South (3.8miles) make right of County Road 345 (8/10 of a mile) Tigers For tomorrow will be on Right hand side of road, continue up driveway parking will veer off to left. From Highway 431 in Attalla, AlabamaGet on I-59 North, exit at Noccalula Falls. Go left at the exit to the blinking red light. At the light turn right, this is Route 11 North. Continue to Stevens Gap Road and turn left. This will dead end at Duck Springs Road, make a right turn. Continue for approx 7 miles, you will enter DeKalb county. Make a left on County Road 345.Eight tenths of a mile down 345 on the right is Untamed Mountain. Pull up into driveway, parking lot is on the left on the dirt road. From Highway 431 in Albertsville, Alabama-take this route if you are coming from Huntsville.Go east on hwy. 75, make a right on hwy. 68. Take 68 into Crossville, make a right on hwy 227 South. 227 South takes a left turn at the Rodentown water tower. Follow 227 south down the mountain, at bottom make a right (hwy. 227 south) . Make your very first right on County Road 345, Untamed Mountain is 1 mile down on the right.
