Volunteering your time and/or expertise is just as
valuable as monetary contributions.
All volunteers have to fill out an application, release of liability, release for a drug test, and agree to a background check. After this is completed you will be set up for an orientation and scheduled for volunteer work. Volunteers help us maintain our grounds, work at the animal contact area, and greet and provide information to visitors. Volunteering is taken seriously. Volunteers do not get to handle, play with, or pet the big cats. Still interested? We are looking for reliable dedicated volunteers. It takes many hands to keep the preserve safe, beautiful and peaceful for the animals.
Please understand that you will not be “playing with the tigers”, you will be raking leaves, cleaning, painting, landscaping, doing computer work, participating in public relations and fund raising events, making phone calls, building cages, recruiting sponsors, etc according to your abilities and interests. Safety, yours and the animals, is our first concern. Therefore, you must attend the safety trainings, study the safety manual and follow our procedures carefully. This is not to discourage you, only to give you a realistic idea of the responsibilities involved with caring for these magnificent wild animals. The closeness that develops between volunteers and the individual animals has brought serenity and peacefulness to my life, as it will to yours if you choose to become a part of this amazing process.
If you have special talents, ie languages, training in healing programs, marketing experience, etc please list these skills on your application.
