Tigers For Tomorrow to Host September 5 Fundraiser Supporting Cheetah Conservation

EVENT INFORMATION

Cheetah Conservation Fundraiser
Saturday, September 5, 2026
3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Tigers For Tomorrow Exotic Animal Preserve
708 County Road 345
Attalla, Alabama

Special Guest: Dion Silious, Cheetah Outreach Trust
Featuring: Presentation and meet and greet
Refreshments: Snacks, tea, and lemonade
Fundraising Goal: $2,500

Tigers For Tomorrow Exotic Animal Preserve will host a special Cheetah Conservation Fundraiser on Saturday, September 5, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., bringing the Northeast Alabama community together to help protect one of the world’s most extraordinary—and increasingly vulnerable—animals.

The fundraiser will benefit the Cheetah Outreach Trust, an organization dedicated to cheetah conservation, education, research, and reducing human-wildlife conflict in South Africa. Tickets are only $25 per person. Tigers For Tomorrow’s goal is to raise $2,500 in support of the Trust’s important conservation work.

A special highlight of the afternoon will be a presentation by Deon Cilliers of the Cheetah Outreach Trust, who will share firsthand insight into the organization’s work and the challenges facing cheetahs in the wild. Following the presentation, Cilliers will be available for a meet and greet, giving guests an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about cheetah conservation on a personal level.

Guests will also be able to enjoy snacks, tea, and lemonade during the event.

Cheetahs face tremendous challenges in the wild, including habitat loss, declining genetic diversity, and conflict with livestock farmers. Because cheetahs frequently live outside protected areas, conservation efforts must include not only protecting the animals themselves but also finding practical ways for people, livestock, and predators to coexist.

The Cheetah Outreach Trust works directly toward that goal through conservation education and programs designed to reduce conflict between farmers and wild cheetahs.

For Tigers For Tomorrow, supporting the project is a natural extension of its mission to create a bridge between humans and nature through animal wellness and environmental education while fostering a conservation mindset.

“Having people fall in love with an animal is only the beginning,” said Susan Steffens of Tigers For Tomorrow. “The next step is helping them understand what that animal faces in the wild and giving them an opportunity to become part of protecting its future. That is what we hope to accomplish with this fundraiser.”

Tigers For Tomorrow is also home to Duma, a cheetah who came to the preserve after aging out of the Species Survival Plan breeding program. Through Duma, visitors have an opportunity to learn about the remarkable adaptations that make the cheetah the fastest land animal on Earth—as well as the conservation challenges facing the species.

The September 5 event will combine conservation, education, and community involvement, with proceeds supporting the work of the Cheetah Outreach Trust.

Tigers For Tomorrow encourages individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations throughout Northeast Alabama to participate and help demonstrate that conservation can begin thousands of miles away from Africa.

Every contribution matters. Every conversation creates awareness. And every person can play a role in helping cheetahs thrive for generations to come.

Over the years we have matured into a full-scale predatory preserve serving as a last stop forever home to nine species of wild cats, the North American black bear and brown bear and over 50 canids Including wolves, hyenas, coyotes, and multiple species of foxes.

We have also expanded our horizons to many different species of small mammals such as civets and genets as well as a large barnyard menagerie and 26 rescue Equines including horses, mules, donkeys and mini horses.
